Dannie and Bret were married January 4th, 2025! When I was taking their engagement photos the previous fall, Dannie commented how cold it was, and I asked if they were ready for a winter wedding if they thought October was cold! That led them to tell me the story of how they chose their date- After they had been together for some time, Dannie’s sons asked Bret when he was going to marry their mom, and he tossed out the date of January 6th, 2025 at the time, thinking it sounded like a reasonable amount of time in the future. When the time came that they got engaged, they chose the Saturday that was closest to that date. January 4th it was!
The ceremony was at the Vineyard Church on Arrowhead Road in Duluth. After the ceremony, we drove north along the shore and stopped at Brighton Beach and French River for some photos before landing at the Moose Lodge in Two Harbors for the reception. Dannie and Bret created a beautiful and special day with their family and friends and enjoyed it all, maybe even the 5 degree temperatures!
