Garret and Jaylena were married last September here in Duluth! Jaylena got ready at her grandparents house with her bridesmaids and then we ventured to McQuade Harbor for the first look and portraits. The poor bridesmaids both had brand new shoes on and had bleeding ankles just from walking from the car down to the boat launch area. They had to run back and grab some bandaids.
Things I loved about this day, in no particular order: Jaylena’s STUNNING ring. Garret’s kids being so excited to run and see their dad when they arrived. The warm and beautiful weather! Jaylena’s happy tears during the first look, and the bridesmaids happy tears while watching it! Jaylena’s grandma inviting me to come in and sit down when I arrived for photos, which would have been really nice except for I was there to work so I couldn’t take her up on it. :) Lastly, there were supposed to be cheesecakes for the wedding table at the receiption, and the grandparents completely forgot to order them! So the kitchen ladies cut up one of the sheet cakes and did their best to arrange that on the platters instead. There’s always a little hiccup or two on a wedding day!
